My Role as a Sr. Designer:
Initiating Collaboration: Throughout the design system project, I collaborated closely with development teams, UX designers, and stakeholders to gather insights, refine objectives, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Empowering Teams: Conducting workshops, I guided development teams through the intricacies of our design system components, guidelines, and integration processes. Addressing questions and concerns, we ensured clarity and confidence in utilizing the system effectively.
Translating Insights into Design Excellence: Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I transformed workshop insights into designs that adhere to our system and elevate our brand's visual identity. Attention to detail was paramount in maintaining consistency across projects.
Ensuring Accessibility and Quality: Working alongside UX and development teams, we implemented design solutions meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. From high-contrast color schemes to keyboard-accessible content, we focused on delivering a seamless and inclusive user experience.
Advocating for Inclusivity: With stakeholders, I advocated for integrating descriptive alt text across components, making our digital experiences more user-friendly for all individuals.
Providing Comprehensive Guides: I developed design tokens and style guides, encapsulating essential visual and behavioral information for each component. Through collaboration with developers, we seamlessly integrated design tokens into the codebase, ensuring consistency across environments.
Facilitating Continuous Collaboration: I nurtured a culture of constant collaboration by fostering open communication channels between design and development teams. Offering ongoing support, I addressed queries, provided guidance, and facilitated a conducive environment for future iterations of our design system.
