Securly: Online learning and development program (presentation deck)
Overview: Securly's online learning and development courses template served as the foundation for delivering educational content to users.
However, it posed usability challenges and lacked effective integration of brand elements, hindering its overall effectiveness.
Problem statement: The existing template's usability issues and lack of cohesive brand integration posed significant challenges.
Users found it difficult to navigate through the courses, and the template failed to effectively showcase Securly's brand identity, diminishing
its impact on learners.
Role: In this project, my role was to lead the redesign efforts of the template, addressing its usability issues and enhancing brand integration.
From conceptualization to final design, I took ownership of the entire redesign process to ensure a seamless and user-centric learning experience.
Process: To tackle the project, I collaborated closely with the chief design officer, key stakeholders, a copywriter, and an illustrator. We started by conducting a comprehensive review of the existing template, identifying pain points and areas for improvement. Through iterative design cycles, we brainstormed ideas, gathered feedback, and refined the design to meet Securly's objectives and user needs. By fostering open communication and collaboration among team members, we were able to create a redesigned template that not only addressed the initial challenges but also elevated the overall learning experience for Securly's users.
1. Brainstorming: Gathered ideas for the presentation design, exploring different approaches.
2. Research on presentation design best practices: Studied successful presentations to guide our design choices.
3. Wireframing: Created rough layouts to visualize the structure and flow.
4. Team review: Shared designs and gathered feedback for improvements.
5. Work on feedback: Revised wireframes based on the team's input.
6. Finalizing the wireframe: Approved the wireframe before progressing to design.
7. Work on design: Enhanced the presentation with vibrant colors, engaging typography, and captivating imagery. Also, crafted a master template
for the presentation deck, facilitating effortless content and image swapping.
8. Final design review: Ensured the design met project requirements before completion.
